Before starting driving lessons you will need:
Adequate vision – You must be able to read a car number plate at a distance of 20 metres otherwise you may need prescription spectacles before you can drive
A provisional driving licence, which you can be apply for up to 6 months before your17th birthday. Click here to apply You may also start by learning theory and hazard perception, in order that you can take your Theory test as soon as you reach your 17th birthday. Start study for Theory Tests – Study packs are available from Orpington Automatic Driving School and is cheaper than at the DVSA and other normal outlets.
